"ACR v 9.1.1 is the last supported version for CS6 customers, and is available..."

They posted this today and from my programming experience think that it means they are dropping old backwards compatibility for the sake of optimizing their code/methods. So people might finally get a version of lightroom that isn't slower than using a 486 to view 1080p photo's.

also they haven't updated since July and they were doing a release nearly every month up until then - meaning they made some major changes and have kept it unreleased while regression testing etc:

There is also the fact they offered a survey asking users what they wanted fixed in Lightroom.

    ALTHOUGH:

In mid 2015 they also said that would be the last Camera RAW to support CS6 - my guess is after all is said and tested that they will include CS6 if it's still able to function - just without supporting it's customers. So all this might just be speculation on my behalf - one can hope tho - the import function in Lightroom speed is so bad it reminds me of switching the 13 floppies to install windows 95 with. And switching between each image is like downloading a full res JPG on dialup internet.
