https://github.com/Homebrew https://github.com/caskroom/homebrew-cask I know this is for Macs but the concept is interesting using shell scripts and ruby files to download and install files and apps using github as a repository. The cask files contain a download link, a sha256 check, a home page and many more. Perhaps this could be adapted for windows apps and files. food for thought.
