I have been using Windows 10 RDP to connect to my own server on my LAN and I found that when I connected to a Windows 8 or 10 RDP it would lose the connection at I thought random times - turned out it was when a sound effect tried to play, in fact any sound being called would exit the rdp session without another word or any attempts to reconnect, so to fix this I went in to Sound Effects and set the theme to none. Then I only got kicked off if I click a song/movie or open a webpage that has sound, so I change it to muted it also solved that issue as well. So if you think a problem has beaten you just persist and try to make it replicable, then you can test/try things one at a time until it stops happening, thus you find the solution by default.
