    It's honestly not that bad having tiles, once you set them up how you want, it's like having a popup Quick Launch Bar and Desktop Widgets, but a click to activate and they will go over the top of the current apps/desktop until you close the menu again. No need to have 3rd party menu replacements at all unless you really really notice it's slowing down your UI. I enjoy seeing what the weather is, local news and the only thing I don't like is how damn big the spacing is between my icons. BTW the LastOS sorting on the left has no sub categories, but does the job :)
