I have been using Oprea for a while. Even after unchecking all the boxes to stop the data mining both opera_crashreporter.exe and Opera_AutoUpdate.exe would load ever time I used oprea. I could not find any site to help. They all said uncheck the boxes and it would stop. Not ture. I finally just deleted both exe and it finally stopped. The browser seem to run ok and now the processes have stopped. until I update and I'm sure they start again. Seems every app and os and web site are just harvesting your personal data and no rights to stop them. Hope it helps somebody.
To get around this kind of issue in this and other apps, in addition to using the check-boxes you mentioned, you might try disabling the appropriate processes under "Startup" and "Browser Plugins" using a tool such as CCleaner. It's quick and easy and has helped me a lot.
