The MIST board was designed to implement classic 16 bit computers like the Amiga and Atari ST(E) using modern hardware.
However it also supports 8bit systems

The MIST supports USB joysticks / keyboards / mice as well as standard classic 9-pin joysticks..
For video output, it has a VGA port (please note that - depending on the system - it might output a non-standard VGA Signal that does not work with every monitor. Most TVs with VGA input should work without any issues).
VGA offers the best video quality for those systems.
You need a normal MicroUSB-Power adaptor to power it.

The MIST reimplements the hardware of the systems - it does not emulate it.
It is fully OpenHardware and Software.

You can find more information about the MIST here: https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-board/wiki
The following systems are currently supported:
    Computers:
Atari ST, Amiga (ECS, AGA), MSX, Atari XL800, Apple II+, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum
Consoles: NES, Atari 5200, Chip8, PC Engine (HuCard), Atari 2600, SMS, ColecoVision
Arcade Machines: Space Invaders, Pengo, Pacman, Moon Patrol, Galaxian

The MIST supports the following hardware:

    + USB keyboards
    + USB mice
    + Classic C64 style joysticks
    + SD cards
    + VGA screens
    + Speakers
    + USB joysticks/gamepads

Currently unsupported are (might change with firmware updates):

+ Original Atari ST and Amiga mice
+ USB storage devices (thumb drives)
    + USB bluetooth dongles
