Hi.... Assuming this is my first time at modding OS, where do i start in first place ? Any suggestions ?

Go through it first to understand the fundamentals. From there you can experiment with your own changes. Of course you can also post here with questions.
Yes that thread shows exactly how I mod OS's in the video and if you download the builder you can open the scripts and folders to see what I included. You learn one thing at a time and perfect it over the many hours you put in Ask us where you get stuck and let us know what you have done successfully so far, we'll help.
